Overview
Garrett is an associate in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the firm’s litigation group.
Garrett has extensive legal experience at the state level. He has experience serving as an assistant attorney general for the Ohio attorney general’s office, working with the office’s constitution offices and executive agencies sections. He has also worked as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Sharon Kennedy, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Ohio, where he prepared merit opinion drafts and bench memos for oral argument cases and assisted the Chief Justice in her administrative and constitutional duties over Ohio courts.
He received his J.D. magna cum laude from Capital University Law School, where he worked on the staff for the Capital University Law Review. While in law school, he served as a judicial extern for Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor of the Supreme Court of Ohio. He received his B.S. magna cum laude from Ohio University.
