Overview

Shelby is an associate in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the firm’s labor and employment group.

Prior to joining Vorys, she served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Algenon Marbley, United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Shelby received her J.D. and a certificate in alternative dispute resolution from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law, where she served as the chief note editor for the Ohio State Business Law Journal and secretary for the Black Law Students Association.  She received her B.A. in political science and pre-law from Michigan State University.

Her student note, “A Pivotal Moment: Why the Resurgence of the Labor Movement & The Rise of E-Commerce May Call for a Modernization of National Labor Law,” was published in the 2023 spring edition of The Ohio State Business Law Journal.
