On September 15, 2016, Vorys Of Counsel Linda Mendel spoke at the American Bar Association’s webinar entitled, Open Enrollment is Coming – Is Your Health Plan Up to Date? Mendel and her co-presenters discussed the changes group health plan sponsors must consider to comply with new regulatory requirements, recent changes in the law and recent court decisions. These decisions include new wellness program requirements under the ADA, new notice and nondiscrimination requirements under Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (“ACA”), recent clarifications of ACA market reform requirements (coverage of preventive care, emergency care, etc.), and administration of third party recovery and subrogation matters.
