Self Insurers’ Group of Ohio Education Day

Vorys partners Buz Minor and Dan Balmert spoke at the Self Insurers’ Group of Ohio’s Education Day on February 25. 

Mr. Balmert’s presentation, ‘2010 Ohio Workers’ Compensation Legal Update,’ reviewed the facts, decisions and rationale of the top ten Ohio court decisions rendered over the past year impacting self-insuring employers.  He discussed the lessons Ohio employers should learn from each of these cases.

Mr. Minor’s presentation, ‘2010 Ohio Self Insurers’ Legislative and Regulatory Update,’ discussed administrative and legislative activity over the past year affecting the Ohio workers’ compensation system.  He also previewed the anticipated rule and statutory changes that are likely to be proposed by the employer community.
