IPWatchdog's Second Annual Patent Portfolio Management Masters™

Carey Jordan, a partner in the Vorys Houston office and chair of the firm's intellectual property group, joined a panel at IPWatchdog's Second Annual Patent Portfolio Management Masters™ program on June 25.  The panel was titled "Global Patent Strategies: Where to File and Why?"  They discussed several topics including: 

• The pros and cons of filing an international patent application under the Patent Cooperation Treaty.
• The pros and cons of obtaining a Unitary Patent.
• The pros and cons of a direct filing strategy in specific countries as an alternative to either the PCT or UP.
