Chris is a senior attorney in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the trusts, estates and wealth transfer group.  His practice consists of estate planning, tax compliance and probate administration.

Chris advises clients on the use of a variety of estate planning techniques, including grantor retained annuity trusts (GRATs), intentionally defective grantor trusts (IDGTs), spousal lifetime access trusts (SLATs) and qualified terminable interest property (QTIP) elections.  As a certified public accountant, Chris frequently prepares income tax returns and transfer tax returns for high-net-worth clients.  He also reviews like-kind exchange transactions and advises clients on reporting the recognized gain, deferred gain and the basis of replacement property on I.R.S. Form 8824.

Chris received his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law and his B.S. in legal studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
