Farrar Named a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation
Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP is proud to announce that Elizabeth (“Betsy”) Farrar, a partner in the firm’s Columbus office, has been named a fellow of the American Bar Foundation (ABF).
According the ABF, membership in The Fellows is limited to one third of one percent of the lawyers in each state. Fellows include lawyers, judges, and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession.
Farrar is a member of the Vorys corporate and finance group. Her practice focuses primarily on the representation of public companies and financial institutions, which she regularly counsels on a broad range of matters involving corporate governance, securities law compliance and reporting issues, federal banking law compliance, public offerings of debt and equity securities and merger and acquisition transactions involving both stock and assets. She works regularly with clients who are subject to regulation by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York Stock Exchange, NYSE Amex, The NASDAQ Stock Market, various federal banking regulators and the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Farrar received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and her B.A. magna cum laude from Smith College, where she was Phi Beta Kappa.
