Foley Elected Chair of Catholic Social Services Board of Directors
Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP is pleased to announce that F. James Foley, a partner with Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, has been named vice-chair of the Board of Directors of Catholic Social Services of Columbus. Mr. Foley was elected to the Board of Directors in 2004 and served as secretary from 2005 to 2007.
Mr. Foley practices extensively in the area of insurance, corporate and general litigation and has more than 30 years of civil litigation experience across a wide range of fields. He has been a member of the Legal Committee of The National Conference of Insurance Guaranty Funds since 1997 and is chair of the Coordination of Litigation Subcommittee. Mr. Foley also chaired the City of Upper Arlington Charter Review Commission from 1996 to 1998.
Mr. Foley was a member of the Board of the Ohio Legal Rights Service Commission from 1987 to1993. As an adjunct professor of law at The Ohio State University College of Law, he taught a course in trial practice from 1993 to 2000. He is a member of the Columbus, Ohio and Federal Bar Associations. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame in 1974, Mr. Foley received his law degree from Notre Dame Law School in 1977.
