Garcia Named Managing Partner of Vorys Pittsburgh Office
Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP announced today that Daren Garcia will serve as the managing partner of the firm’s Pittsburgh office. In this new role, he will oversee the day-to-day operations and long-term planning for the office. Garcia, a litigator with a national trial practice, recently relocated to the office from the Vorys Columbus office.
“Daren is an exceptional leader and he’ll be a great addition to the firm’s management team,” said Russ Gertmenian, Vorys’ managing partner. “While our firm has only been in Pittsburgh for three years, we see great potential for the future with Daren at the helm.”
The Vorys Pittsburgh office opened in 2013 and allowed Vorys to broaden the oil and gas work it was handling in Pennsylvania. The office has since expanded its focus, welcoming lawyers with experience in labor and employment, real estate, banking, finance, brand protection and complex litigation. Garcia will be the office’s first managing partner.

Garcia focuses his law practice on the representation of public and private companies, as well as their officers and directors, in complex commercial and employment litigation. He also devotes a significant portion of his practice to internet brand and reputational issues, including both illegal online sales enforcement and internet defamation. Garcia, a fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, has also been recognized by Chambers and Partners as a “Leading Lawyer” in litigation, as well as by Super Lawyers and as a “Rising Star” in business litigation.
