Ransier Chosen to Co-Chair the Columbus Mayor’s Education Commission
Kathleen Ransier, a partner in the Vorys Columbus office, has been chosen by Columbus Mayor Michael B. Coleman to serve as a co-chair of his newly formed education commission. The commission will meet periodically to develop recommendations for improvements to Columbus City Schools. It was outlined in a Columbus Dispatch story entitled “25 local leaders on Coleman’s city schools panel.”
The story states:
“The panel will have three co-chairs: George Barrett, chairman and CEO of Cardinal Health; U.S. District Judge Algenon Marbley, who is chairman of the board of KIPP Central Ohio, a charter-school network; and Kathy Ransier, a lawyer with Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease whose husband briefly served on the city council.”
