Ransier Receives Awards from Columbus Bar Association and John Mercer Langston Bar Association
Kathleen H. Ransier, a partner in the Vorys Columbus office, was honored by two different Columbus bar associations this week for her commitment to the legal profession.
On June 13, Ransier accepted the Robert Duncan Distinguished Leader Award from the John Mercer Langston Bar Association (JMLBA). Each year, JMLBA, the Columbus affiliate member of the National Bar Association, honors an established person in the legal profession who has shown a commitment to community service and the advancement of success of African Americans in the law with this award.
Ransier accepted the Columbus Bar Association Professionalism Award, one of the highest awards given by the Association, on June 15. The award is presented annually to an attorney in recognition of exceptional dedication to the standards of the profession and for demonstrated integrity and humanitarian concern.
Ransier is a member of the Vorys corporate and finance practice group. Her areas of practice include transactional, commercial, real estate, business organization, non-profit and business development. Ransier has served on the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Professionalism since 2009 and has also been a member of the Columbus Bar Association Board of Governors and the Council of Delegates to the Ohio State Bar Association.
