Reisz Sworn in as Columbus Bar Association President
Vorys is pleased to announce that Lisa Pierce Reisz, a partner in the Vorys Columbus office, has been sworn in as the president of the Columbus Bar Association (CBA). In this role, Lisa will continue the firm’s rich tradition of leadership of the CBA, one of the leading metropolitan bar associations in the country.
CBA is a diverse community of nearly 5,000 central Ohio legal professionals. It strives to be the leader in providing excellent, innovative and cost effective services to members of the legal profession and the general public in central Ohio. Through the active involvement of a broad and diverse membership, we will focus on professionalism, education, advocacy and community service in order to advance the justice system for all.
Reisz has held numerous leadership roles within the CBA serving as chair of the Professional Ethics Committee, a member of Lawyers for Justice and the Homeless Project and on the Board of Governors. Her legal practice focuses on health information technology issues including: health information privacy and security under HIPAA/HITECH, state confidentiality laws and 42 C.F.R. Part 2; breach response; implementation of electronic health records; and qualification for meaningful use incentives.
