According to Lawyers of Color, attorneys are selected through a two-pronged process. First, the selection committee, composed of editorial staff, fellows and advisers, reviewed nominations and researched legal publications in order to identify promising candidates. The committee also made editorial picks by researching attorneys who had noteworthy accomplishments, giving special attention to candidates who were active in legal diversity pipeline initiatives.
