Toulouse to Chair Ohio State Bar Association Subcommittee
Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP is proud to announce that Kelsey M. Toulouse, an associate in the firm’s Cleveland office, was recently appointed as chair of the Secured Transactions Subcommittee of the Ohio State Bar Association.
The Secured Transactions Subcommittee falls under the auspice of the Banking, Commercial and Bankruptcy Law Committee. Toulouse had served as co-chair of the Secured Transactions Subcommittee, since 2010.
Committees and sections work to improve the justice system by keeping Ohio lawyers informed about the latest court decisions and regulatory changes. Committee members also comment on bills before the Ohio General Assembly and draft their own legislative proposals to improve existing laws.
Toulouse is a members of Vorys’ commercial and real estate practice group. Her practice focuses on the development and documentation of commercial loan transactions, commercial law, creditor’s rights in and out of bankruptcy and out-of-court restructurings and workouts. Prior to joining Vorys, she served as a law clerk to the legislative staff in the Washington State Attorney General’s office. She received her J.D. with honors from the University of Washington School of Law and her B.A. magna cum laude from Baldwin-Wallace College.
