Vorys Celebrates LGBT History Month
In recognition of LGBT History Month and National Coming Out Day, which was celebrated on October 11, we want to take this opportunity to highlight Vorys’ support for the LGBTQ+ community and acknowledge our appreciation for our colleagues, clients, family, and friends who have raised our awareness on matters of LGBTQ+ equity and inclusion over the years.
We know that the LGBTQ+ community continues to face a multitude of visible and invisible barriers simply because of who they are and who they love, and we are committed to finding ways to help break down these barriers within our firm and in our communities. For our colleagues, clients, family and friends who are members of the LGBTQ+ community, we acknowledge your unique experience, both personally and professionally, and want you to know that you have our unwavering support. We are very proud that Vorys has long been recognized as a “Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), but we know that there is more work still to be done. We will continue to encourage our attorneys and staff to learn about and support the LGBTQ+ community as active allies. As a firm, we will also continue to support HRC and other community organizations that share in this commitment. Through continued efforts, both within and outside our firm, we are committed to moving toward a more inclusive community together.
