Vorys Continues Houston Office Expansion with New Bankruptcy Partner
Thomas H. Grace – who brings more than 35 years of experience in bankruptcy and insolvency law – recently joined the Houston office of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease as a partner and will lead the office’s bankruptcy practice.
“Tom brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Vorys and will augment the firm’s strong bankruptcy practice,” said Stephen D. Browning, a partner in the Houston office and chair of the firm’s commercial and real estate group. “His background counseling debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees and indenture trustees will be an asset for Vorys as we continue to expand the capabilities available to our clients from the Houston office.”
Grace’s practice focuses on all facets of insolvency and bankruptcy matters. He has significant experience in pre-bankruptcy negotiations. In addition, Grace has represented bankruptcy trustees and has served as a Chapter 7 panel trustee. His clients have included national financial institutions, airlines, agricultural co-ops, energy companies, hospitals, manufacturers, multi-family housing projects and mortgage companies. Grace was a former partner with Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP.
Grace is a member of the Texas and Ohio State Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Houston Bar Association, where he serves on the Bankruptcy Law Committee.
Grace received his J.D., cum laude, from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law and his B.S. from John Carroll University.
