Vorys Earns 2019 WILEF Gold Standard Certification For Gender Equity
Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has been named a 2019 WILEF Gold Standard firm. The Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) Gold Standard Certification is a key metric for assessing progress toward achieving greater gender equity in large law firms. This is the first year that Vorys has received a WILEF Gold Standard Certification.
“The WILEF Gold Standard is one of the most prestigious certifications that a large law firm can earn for its achievements on gender equity matters,” said Vorys’ Managing Partner Michael Martz. “We recognize that our firm’s diversity, inclusion and equity efforts are far from complete, however, we are very excited about the progress we have made at Vorys. We are committed to supporting our female colleagues and to continuing our work to ensure that Vorys is a firm that provides equal access to opportunity.”
WILEF Certification emphasizes the leadership roles attained by women partners, rather than a firm’s policies or practices or overall number of women partners. WILEF Gold Standard firms are those with 300 or more practicing U.S. lawyers that meet an objective criteria including the number of women equity partners, in firm leadership positions and in the ranks of their most highly compensated partners.
