Vorys Financial Services Practice Continues to Grow with Addition of Christopher J. Meyer
Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP welcomes Christopher J. Meyer as a partner in its Cleveland office. Meyer will join the financial services litigation group, where his practice will focus on complex litigation including class action lawsuits and government investigations.
Meyer was Chief Counsel for The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc., where he managed complex litigation. He was Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for National City Bank, prior to National City’s merger with PNC last year. Before joining National City, Meyer was a founding partner of the trial and appellate boutique firm, Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell LLP.
“Chris is the second partner we have added in our financial services practice in Cleveland this year, the first being Pat Oliver, former General Counsel of BB&T Corporation,” said Anthony O’Malley, the Managing Partner of Vorys’ Cleveland office. “Chris’ in-house experiences will be invaluable to our clients. Having managed litigation for major banking institutions he knows firsthand what pressures our clients face and is in a unique position to assist them.”
Meyer received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, and his B.S. from James Madison University.
