Vorys Prevails in Price-Fixing Case
Vorys attorneys Kenneth J. Rubin and James A. Wilson served as counsel to the American Mastiff Breeders Council ("AMBC") and many of its member breeders in a lawsuit brought by Craig Williamson, claiming that the AMBC and its members violated federal antitrust law by engaging in price-fixing around the sale of certain puppies and engaging in a group boycott against him. On August 11, 2010, in response to a motion to dismiss filed by Vorys, Judge George Smith of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio rejected plaintiff's claims and dismissed all of plaintiff's antitrust counts against the AMBC and its members.
