Vorys Recognized in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index for Fifth Straight Year

Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease has been recognized for the fifth year in a row as one of the top gay-friendly workplaces in central Ohio by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC).  The firm received an equality score of 80 for having non-discrimination policies and offering benefits to non-married partners, among other criteria.  Only four other central Ohio businesses received scores higher than Vorys and the firm was one of only four Ohio-based law firms listed in the rankings.

Each fall, HRC releases the Corporate Equality Index report (CEI).  The CEI provides an in-depth analysis and rating of U.S. employers and their policies and practices pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees.  The CEI rates companies on 40 specific policies and practices.
