Vorys Recognized in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index for Ninth Straight Year
Vorys has been recognized as one of the top gay-friendly workplaces in central Ohio for the ninth year in a row by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). The firm received an equality score of 85 for having non-discrimination policies, a firmwide diversity group, and for supporting the LGBT community, among other criteria. Only 10 central Ohio-based businesses received scores higher than 80 (out of a possible 100). In addition, the firm was one of only five Ohio-based law firms listed in the rankings.
Each fall, HRC releases the Corporate Equality Index report (CEI). The CEI provides an in-depth analysis and rating of U.S. employers and their policies and practices pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees. The CEI rates companies on 40 specific policies and practices.
