Vorys Given “Tipping the Scales” Recognition for Gender-Equity Efforts

Vorys is proud to announce that once again, the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance has recognized it as a 2024 “Tipping the Scales” firm.  Vorys is one of 82 law firms acknowledged for their efforts to create gender parity in their new partner classes.

The Diversity & Flexibility Alliance includes firms where more than 50% of partner promotions are given to women candidates.  The recognition is especially relevant during 2024, where the rate of women being promoted to partner fell to 41.6%.

The “Tipping the Scales” data was collected as part of the New Partner Report, which was previewed at the alliance’s annual conference in October.  Britt Schmidt, chief legal talent and inclusion officer at Vorys, sat on a panel of legal professionals at the conference, discussing the topic of “Transforming Culture from the Inside Out.”
