HIPAA Compliance 2020

Lisa Pierce Reisz, a partner in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the health care group, authored an article for the Columbus Bar Lawyers Quarterly Spring 2020 edition titled “HIPAA Compliance 2020.”  

Although the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) is more than 20 years old, compliance with the law continue to grow in importance.  The law outlines the rules for maintaining the privacy and security of protected health information.  The article outlines how health care providers should be securing patient health information.
