Jacob is an associate in the Vorys Columbus office and a member of the firm’s labor and employment group.  He represents employers, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to family-owned small businesses in discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful discharge claims in state and federal courts and administrative agencies.

He has experience representing employers in unfair labor practice proceedings, including before the Ohio State Employment Relations Board (SERB), and defends labor contract arbitration proceedings.  

Jacob has been published in Law360 on topics relating to traditional labor law and is a frequent contributor to Vorys On Labor.

He also assists in representing pro bono asylum seekers before immigration courts and federal agencies.

While in law school, he served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Justice Michael P. Donnelly of the Supreme Court of Ohio and the Honorable Judge Edmund A. Sargus of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Jacob received his J.D. magna cum laude from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where he served as a managing editor for the Ohio State Law Journal and was a member of the Order of The Coif.  He also graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in political science from The Ohio State University.
