Meron F. Ghidey

Meron is a scientific advisor in the Vorys Cincinnati office.  He was an intern in the 2023 Vorys Scientific Advisor Patent Agent Internship Program.

Notable skills:

• Has strong computational skills in Python and R coding languages, data visualization, statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms and web scraping
• Has skills in synthetic chemistry, molecular genetics, metabolism, proteomics, biologics and microbiology

Meron received his Ph.D. in biomedical studies from Baylor University addressing antibiotic resistant infections by engineering custom-targeted nanoparticles.  He also received his B.S. in biology from the University of Missouri and graduated from the Honors College as a McNair Scholar.  Meron completed his postdoctoral research training from Baylor College of Medicine in breast cancer metabolomics, where he earned a National Cancer Institute award granting full funding.
