Vorys Featured in Law360 Story Titled ‘Vorys Doubles Calif. Footprint In Orange County Office Move’

Vorys’ growth in California, since the office opened in 2021 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, was recently highlighted in a Law360 story. The Vorys California office's recent move to a new space was also featured in the story. 

The story states:

“Vorys launched in Orange County with just four attorneys in February 2021, the first West Coast location for the Ohio-based firm, opened primarily to support its national labor and employment practice.

Today the office has 15 attorneys and patent professionals, with labor and employment and civil litigation being the busiest practice areas. McCormick is excited to have almost quadrupled the number of attorneys in just four years.

‘It's fantastic because the business plan that we put together and the reasons that we had for opening an office have largely come to fruition in the sense that we have retained the clients that we were already doing work for,’ McCormick said. ‘We had a number of clients who told us, 'Yes, we will use you in California, but you have to have an office there.' So, our office has grown in that regard, that they were already current clients of the firm but they weren't using us for California work, and now they are.’”

Once Vorys opened in California, it was able to attract new clients as well.

‘Having an office here gave us an entrée to pitch them on the great work that we can do,’ McCormick said.”
