Overview

Evan is an associate in the Vorys Cincinnati office and a member of the litigation group.  He has experience representing clients in ERISA, complex commercial, construction, trademark, and trade secrets litigation.

Prior to joining Vorys, Evan was a judicial extern to Chief Judge Jeffery S. Sutton.  In this role, Evan conducted extensive legal research to prepare for federal appellate cases heard before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.  Evan was also a member of the Capital University Law Review, the Capital University Law School Mock Trial Team and the Capital University Law School ABA National Moot Court Team.  Evan has previously served as an adjunct professor and coach for the Capital University Law School Labor and Employment Moot Court Team.

Evan is published in Vol. 51 of the Capital University Law Review with his article, titled "A Fork in the Road: Paid Sick Leave Plans as a Payroll Practice and ERISA Preemption of State Laws Regulating Paid Sick Leave."

He has previously served as a board member of the Cincinnati Chapter of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries.

Evan earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Capital University Law School and his B.A. cum laude from Miami University.
